MIX NOTES
Had the immense pleasure of playing a set with my good friend DJ Afro AKA Jose Luis “Cheo” Pardo, for his “Bajo Perfil” (low profile) stream, which he does every week on Twitch and Instagram . We followed a strict “PLAY TWO AND PASS” regimen and it made for a super interesting night. We met over 10 years ago when we ended up DJing on the same bill at a yacht party in Miami for our mutual friend and colleague Alex Moulton’s Expansion Team. We ran into each other later that night outside of a 2 Many DJs show, shared a cab and couple late night drinks and we’ve been fast friends ever since. He brought me with him on a visit to Venezuela once, giving me the serious rock star, whirlwind tour – an unforgettable trip, for real. Over the years we’ve played together in Caracas and Bogota and Miami and NYC and hopefully this stream gig is the start of more Marvelous team-ups.
