My man Serge had moved to the states from Uruguay by way of Australia. He had never seen the great American Southwest. Ben and I were determined to change that. We flew to El Paso and rented a van. First stop was Las Cruces to see family. Second stop was Vegas to stay up for 3 days being idiots. Then the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Moab and Zion. I made this mix of mostly 70s classic rock to further indoctrinate Serge on some classic Americana and its sonic adjacencies. Amazing trip. However, be warned: the road from Flagstaff to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon is fraught with all manner of wild beasts and late night hallucinations. Proceed with caution.
