Way way back in about 2001, on the tail end of the dot com boom, I was a Creative Director at The Shooting Gallery – a NYC  independent film company most known for their Oscar winning movie “Sling Blade“. In the misguided wisdom of the day, they were a small, 35-person company that did ONE thing very well that all-of-a-sudden endeavored to get VC money, 250 employees, and do EVERYTHING ELSE too. Thus they became a web design company. A digital tech company. A content creation company. And an ad agency. All within the space of about 6 months. Needless to say, this failed, in a big BIG way. But I was paid rather handsomely and it was fun while it lasted. These are my 2 favorite posters I designed while there.
