WISSAM SHAWKAT: HAND SKILLZ FOR DAYZ
Last year while wandering the Lower East Side some random Thursday, I happened upon a gallery opening – the U.S. premier showing of Iraqi-born Dubai-dwelling calligrapher Wissam Shawkat.
LES design culture veteran and all around stand up brotha Jeff Staple had brought him over to Reed Space to show the NYC graf scene how this cat gets down. I was truly blown away. Hand skillz for days. Check out more of his work HERE
