Mix I made for my friend Kathy's memorial service. She waged a 14 year battle with cancer, and it finally got the best of her. Some of these artists were favorites of hers. A couple were new to me. Many would be new to her, as well. Some, I simply thought would be nice to hear in the background at the service. The spectre of cancer is real and exhausting and my heart goes out to anybody who has this experience. Hug your kids. Hug your parents. Kiss your lovers. As Tom Waits says, "Any day on this side of the dirt is a good day".
