MIX NOTES

A series of mixes I made for Kenny Addington’s Brooklyn restaurant Strangeways, a few years ago. The specific request was for a mix of Rocksteady, Northern Soul, Funk, Punk, Post Punk, and 90s Brit Pop. It was a fun assignment to get them all working together, and thankfully I got to dig into my own Punk archives, more than usual, ya dig?

Hey Julian, I was introduced to your mixes via Cheo /Afro from one of his blog posts probably a decade ago... I'm glad to see you're still doing the damn thing. Quality, classy, brilliant mixes all around.... One of my fave mixes of yours from back then was 'I remember hiphop', you program some of the greatest intros as well. (is that still up somewhere

Anyhow, thanks of the inspiration and mixes, I often drive for Lyft and Uber down here in Atlanta, and most of the time DJ Julian is the soundtrack of the ride. So you probably have been getting a lot of traffic recently, people often ask about the music.....

Anyhow, cheers my dude.... A+++ stuff, never stop.
